Introduction

Many organisations are involved in preparing for, responding to, and recovering from emergencies in Scotland. When public, private and voluntary sector organisations work in partnership with the communities affected by an emergency, this can result in better planning and a more effective response and recovery for all. 

Who this module is for 

• Any member of the public with an interest in understanding emergency management and response in Scotland 

• Volunteers and staff from public, private or voluntary sectors who may be involved in emergency management as a part of their responsibilities 

• Students who are learning about topics related to emergency management
